This live, instructor-led, class focuses on using SEQUEL ViewPoint for access to your System i data. During this introductory course , you will learn how to create, modify, and run basic SEQUEL views (data retrieval/queries).

Classes will be taught:

  • July 13 & 15 or
  • September 28 & 30 or
  • December 7 & 8

  • Selecting and formatting result fields
  • Creating calculated fields (columns)

Who should attend?

The class is designed for anyone who needs to access System i data using SEQUEL.

 

Training approach

SEQUEL Software uses a blended approach to learning that has proven very successful. The class includes:

  • Presentation and live demonstrations
  • Hands-on activities on your own system
  • Participant interaction with trainers during session

 

Length

Two, 2-hour sessions

  1. A high-speed Internet connection (DSL, cable modem, or T1).
  2. A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher.
  3. Current version of SEQUEL installed on your System i.
  4. Current version of SEQUEL ViewPoint installed on your PC (version 9 preferred)
  5. An understanding of the System i concepts of libraries and files.
  6. ViewPoint design authority.
  7. Access to ViewPoint during class for hands-on exercises.
  8. Authority to create SEQUEL objects during class for hands-on experience.
  9. A user library where you can save SEQUEL objects.
  10. Access to the SEQUEL objects in the SEQUELEX library from ViewPoint.
  11. Comfortable in the Windows environment.

 

Registration

Each person who wants to take the class must register. Class size is limited to give participants the individual attention they need.

 

Registration is required at least 72 hours before the class. You can cancel your registration up to 72 hours before the class without penalty. No-shows will be billed.
