SEQUEL Scripts

This live, instructor-led class focuses on SEQUEL scripts using SEQUEL ViewPoint. Learn what SEQUEL scripts are, and why you, your end-users, or your customers would want to use them. We'll show you how to build and run SEQUEL objects within a SEQUEL script, and how to start using the newly enhanced SEQUEL scripting functions. You'll create some prompted views and scripts (from basic to more advanced) running over files in your SEQUELEX library. Topics include:

• Overview of SEQUEL scripts
• Design Script display
• New/enhanced scripting features
• Advanced scripts
• Importing CL source code

Who should attend?

The class is designed for SEQUEL users who are new to scripting, or have limited experience with scripting and would like to learn more about SEQUEL scripts and the new features. CL programming or previous scripting experience is NOT required.

Training approach

Help/Systems uses a blended approach to learning that has proven very successful. The class includes:

• Presentation and live demonstrations
• Hands-on activities on your own system
• Participant interaction with trainers during session

Recommendations

Before you take this class, you should:

• Have an understanding of SEQUEL and creating SEQUEL views.
• Have Version 9 of both SEQUEL and ViewPoint installed to take advantage of the new scripting features during the hands-on exercises.

Length

3 hours

1. A high-speed Internet connection (DSL, cable modem, or T1).

2. A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher.

Registration
Each person who wants to take the class must register. Class size is limited to give participants the individual attention they need. Registration is required at least 72 hours before the class. You can cancel your registration up to 72 hours before the class without penalty. No-shows will be billed.
